After opening their Belfast office in 2013, FinTrU engaged Nimbus to create a secure and robust world class network infrastructure to meet their complex needs.
The solution included a full Network infrastructure design and implementation including virtualised server environments powered by VMware, HP and Cisco managed switches along with next generation firewall and security solutions.
The investment in technology infrastructure by FinTrU has already provided long term benefits and greatly enhanced key performance metrics such as reliability and flexibility which has enabled FinTrU to on-board and expand their offer to both existing and new clients as well as consistently surpassing their clients’ regulatory requirements.
This has enabled the FinTrU IT team to focus more resources on security, application development and patch control.
A business growing at the pace of FinTrU requires significant hardware resourcing solutions. Nimbus have been successful at leveraging our partnerships with World Leading Technology Manufacturers to provide a steady flow of laptops, desktops and other peripherals at a fixed price to help manage cashflow, whilst ensuring sufficient levels of stock are always available.
This proved invaluable to FinTrU at the start of the covid 19 pandemic when we enabled the roll out of full remote working for the entire organisation with the supply of 200 laptops over just 48 hours.
Through the provision of Office 365, the company has benefited from a greater set of productivity tools through Microsoft Teams, Sharepoint, Email, Power BI and the ability for users to store all local files and folders in a personal One Drive space.
Implementing Power BI has enabled new analytical capabilities which have provided the company with a greater insight into their overall business performance.
In addition, Nimbus collaborated with the IT team when creating an Internal Identity Management Solution for over 800 employees’ roles. This involved integration to Office 365 to allow automatic assignment of the best Office 365 license required for the user to ensure compliance and control costs.
